Ian Bradwell has been blind since the age of 17. His guide dog fouled the park and he didn't see it (understandably!).
He was issued with a fixed penalty notice.
Needless to say, this was withdrawn following appeal.
That said, it's good to see that the fight is on and nobody can assume themselves to be beyond punishment for this appalling crime.
I'm sure you've all heard about the man, who owns a rottweiler crossed with a "Lassie" type collie. It savages you then goes for help! Here we have another such advantage. A guide dog, as a result of its training, can foul a park or pavement and then ensure that you avoid the mess!
